Ted Leo has announced a new solo album The Hanged Man. It’s his first Ted Leo album since 2010’s The Brutalist Bricks, released as Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. The self-released record is due September 8 and was funded through the Kickstarter campaign he created back in February. Leo recorded the album at a “home-studio-in-transition” in Wakefield, R.I., where he also played most of the instruments. In a press release, he described the process as “personal desolation that felt fallow but was actually very fertile.” Along with the announcement, Leo has shared a new song from the LP, “You’re Like Me.”
