Aerosmith are considered one of America's biggest rock bands coming out of Boston in the early seventies. Much like the Rolling Stones who spin on the twin axis of guitar and singer it is the same for Aerosmith. Vocalist Steve Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry led the band from the early days through until the late seventies when despite massive commercial success the band was splintering due to a mixture of abuse, bad management and general malaise Joe Perry left the band to form his own band the Joe Perry Project. The band continued however drafting in a replacement in Jimmy Crespo. Second guitarist Brad Whitford left soon after Perry and was in turn replaced by Rick Dufay. Along with Tyler, bassist Tom Hamilton and drummer Joey Kramer the band recorded the album Rock In A Hard Place and continued to tour. In 1986 however moves were made to reunite the original band and Aerosmith signed a big record deal with Geffen Records. Unfortunately the band were still heavily involved in narcotics and subsequently had to enter into re hab. Once out of re hab the band enjoyed a huge crossover success and massive hit single with Run DMC who sampled the bands 1974 song Walk This Way. With this boost the band recorded their next album Permanent Vacation in 1988 which was a multi-platinum record spawning a number of hits including Dude (Looks Like A Lady). Further hit singles (Rag Doll, Love In An Elevator, Living On The Edge, Crazy, I Don't Want To Miss A Thing) and albums (Pump, Get A Grip and Nine Lives) cemented the bands reputation. These two performances are radio broadcasts from either end of the seventies. The first is one of the earliest recordings from the band in 1973 who were at the time promoting their debut album. The performance contains the band's first hit single Dream On and other key tracks that would form the basis of their live set for a number of years. The second performance comes from a live radio broadcast to promote the album Draw The Line, which had been released some three months previously in December 1977. The performance contains key tracks from this era including Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion, Toys In The Attic and Draw The Line The band still record and tour regularly with their recent album Music From Another Dimension coming in 2012. •This package contains two live radio broadcasts from Aerosmith in 1973 and 1978 •Rarely Seen Photographs •Liner notes by Broadcaster/Author Jon Kirkman •Presented In Replica LP Gatefold Sleeve Disc One: Live at Counterpart Studios, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA 26th September 1973 Disc One 01/ Make It 02/ Somebody 03/ Write Me 04/ Dream On 05/ One Way Street 06/ Walkin' The Dog 07/ Pandora's Box 08/ Rattlesnake Shake 09/ Train Kept A Rollin' 10/ Mama Kin Credits Steven Tyler - Vocals Joe Perry - Guitar Brad Whitford - Guitar Tom Hamilton - Bass Joey Kramer - Drums Disc Two March 26, 1978 Tower Theatre Philadelphia, PA Disc Two 01/ Intro 02/ Rats In The Cellar 03/ I Wanna Know Why 04/ Big Ten Inch Record 05/ Walk This Way 06/ Sight For Sore Eyes 07/ Seasons Of Wither 08/ Sweet Emotion 09/ Lord Of The Thighs 10/ Kings & Queens 11/ Chip Away The Stone 12/ Get The Lead Out 13/ Get It Up 14/ Draw The Line 15/ Same Old Song And Dance 16/ Toys In The Attic 17/ Milk Cow Blues 18/ Train Kept A' Rollin' Credits Steven Tyler - Vocals, Harmonica, Percussion Joe Perry - Guitar (Right) Brad Whitford - Guitar (Left) Tom Hamilton - Bass Joey Kramer - Drums Mark Radice - Keyboards, Backing Vocals
