Tracklist 01 - The Heat of Heat 02 - Palace of the Seven Jewels 03 - First Things First 04 - Nardis 05 - In A Few 06 - Sorrir/Smile 07 - Receipt Please 08 - Sojourn 09 - Third Interior The worst thing about this recording is the cover where Eubanks is wearing a wet T-shirt with a rock guitar slung over his muscle-bound shoulder. Just who the target audience was for this is still a mystery. Once beyond this insult to both performer and consumer, there is very little here to get excited about. Eubanks' playing is fine as always, especially on "Nardis," but the arrangement and production of the songs were obviously geared toward "light" jazz stations. In that respect, the album is a success, but for those who have come to expect integrity from Eubanks, this one can be skipped. Incidentally, the rock guitar pictured on the cover is only used on two tracks. ~ Robert Taylor
